STACY
DANNELS - "Steve helped me break through a mental block I had had with
swimming. I was convinced the amount of time one puts into swimming to move
up to the next level was not worth the time gained during a race. "Just
ride faster" was my mentality. For days then weeks after a race I was
unforgiving of myself about how poor my swim split was compared to my competition.
This had gone on for years as I self-coached, and it took Steve a while
to sway me over to working on my weakness. I now understand that improving
your weakest discipline will give the most benefit in time gained on race
day. I don't know a lot of people who like to go out and work on their weaknesses
day-after-day, but that's exactly what I did. He got me to OD Worlds in
Switzerland where I did well. I'm still amazed at how seconds in swim practice
turned into minutes gained when it counted. I now enjoy swimming. Thank
you Steve." ED
BEUSSE - "I met Steve for the first time a couple years ago when he
was the guest speaker at our tri-club's holiday party. Steve has coached
several athletes I know - and from what I can see, all with good results.
They said he's knowledgeable in every aspect of triathlon from swim, to
bike, to run as well as strength, heart rate and nutrition. I know a little
about each but I need someone to make sense of it all as it pertains to
me, and hopefully my improvement in the sport. I'm already improving my
swim stroke and working on core fitness as recommended. My goal with Coach
Steve is to improve at the Ironman distance so I'll follow his training
for some shorter tri's and his plan for building back up to an IM late next
season. I'm confident that if I follow his plan I'll succeed...I'll let
you know!" RYAN
HUMES - "I began racing triathlons after finishing a collegiate rowing
career. With a good understanding of endurance training and racing, I attempted
to self-coach. My training was going fairly well, except I was missing something.
I was lacking the discipline and insight to progress my training, especially
on the bike leg. So I went looking for coach and came across Coach Steve
through a simple Google search. Having searched extensively, I thought Coach
Steve was too good to be true - personalized training programs, unlimited
contact, personal attention, and all at an unbelievable price. Well, it's
definitely true and it's better than good. Coach Steve really knows his
stuff, and he is straightforward about it. He really knows his athletes
and I am extremely confidant that Coach Steve will help me reach my World
Championship ambitions. Coach Steve is without a doubt the best deal in
coaching." |
